This summer we completed one of our biggest projects to date at the exquisite Finborough School, near Stowmarket.
The original order was for new safety flooring to their new purpose-built state of the art science & art classroom block. Altro Walkway Dolphin was the chosen floor covering for the classroom whilst Polysafe Wood FX European Oak was fitted to the corridors & staircase. Both products are extremely practical for commercial areas with their extremely hard-wearing capabilities and ease of cleaning.
It was mid-June when we received the order and we already knew there was a tight deadline of the end of august to ensure the new block was ready for term time. As is often the case in our trade, the new gypsum base floor screed was not drying as quickly as all parties involved would have hoped. This left us with a massive problem of potentially not meeting the deadline. Luckily, we were able to call upon UZIN’s PE404 Resin DPM and PE280 Primer to give us a system that would slowly control the release of residual moisture in the subfloor, allowing us to smooth the floor with Uzin’s L3 Gold Latex screed before the finished floor covering. This resulted in us hitting the deadline and another happy customer.
Here's what they had to say:
“We sought the services of John Doe of Diss off the back of several recommendations. We were very impressed at the level of customer service and attention to detail provided. Communication was stellar particularly with Nathan who continues to be a pleasure to deal with. We will certainly continue to use the services of Jonh Doe of Diss and cannot recommend them highly enough.”

We were very thankful to also have been involved in the refurbishment of multiple areas of Finborough School this summer. Grey IVC Carpet tiles were fitted to various classrooms with a striking red and blue stripe to match the school’s crest colours. These tiles were laid in a chequer board style which gave an impressive finish.
Paragon’s Workspace Linear Tiles were fitted in colour Broadway to various corridors across the boarding halls of the school whilst the colour savoy ochre was installed in a boarding flat. All these products were installed using F Ball & Co adhesives which are widely viewed as the best on the market.
Our director, Charles Doe said “It was a fantastic project to be involved in all round. We are very grateful to James and Chris at Finborough School for the faith they put in our company off the back of a recommendation. As always, we strived to complete the work to the highest of standards whilst meeting the deadline. The chosen colours of the floor coverings work extremely well in each area and all materials used were specified to the highest quality. We thank all our suppliers involved for all their help with this project, particularly our friends at Flooring Supplies Anglia. It was also a pleasure to work alongside Marcin and his team at MP Building Solutions also who were extremely cooperative with our team whilst we were on site. We hope to work with both parties again in the future!”
