Over 1000m² of Forbo Inline carpet tiles were fitted to administration offices, meeting rooms and hallways and the large staff canteen area was fitted in luxury vinyl tiles.
In the canteen area, our expert in-house fitting team laid Karndean’s Korlock Luxury Vinyl Tile with a 5G locking system. This product was specified largely due to its own, built-in moisture resistant acoustic backing along with its durability.
The kitchen however, required industrial rated safety flooring which our team laid to meet specific safety standards.
The sub-floor was a power floated concrete floor with a high moisture content, as a result, we had to explore alternative methods in order to enable us to fit the floors within the deadline set by Cranswick Food Factory.
In order to overcome the moisture content issue in the kitchen area, we laid Ardex’s Rapidlay membrane sheet to provide us with a smooth floor, primed and ready to fit the Altro Stronghold safety flooring. As well as this, Ardex Rapidlay Membrane provided a barrier from the moisture to ensure that no moisture content would cause any damage between the adhesive and the new safety flooring in the future. Both of these products are extremely hard wearing and provide excellent, easy cleaning capabilities whilst still looking extremely modern and stylish; particularly the impressive Baltic limed oak Karndean Korlock.
It really was fantastic to be involved in this project and we were so pleased with the end result, but more importantly - so was our customer!
