Kitchen Assistant / Cook (Part-Time)
KITCHEN ASSISTANT / COOK (PART-TIME)
We are looking for a kitchen line cook to work in our thriving and busy Coffee Lounge here at John Doe. We produce a simple, high-quality menu that we would like you to assist in delivering to a consistently high standard.
The majority of your time will be spent preparing and assisting with brunch and light lunches, while maintaining a high standard of hygiene. Like any role at John Doe, this role is centred around creating a happy and pleasurable experience for all our customers through your food.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
• Assisting in delivering a high quality café style menu consistently
• Carrying out general kitchen duties
• Ensure that all food is stored in accordance with agreed standards
• Ensure that all equipment used is well maintained and in good working order
• Ensuring quality of all dishes
• Helping to maintain a clean and safe kitchen
• Ensure that you are meeting all health & safety standards within the kitchen at all times
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Previous, relevant experience is essential

• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Trustworthy and reliable
• A team player
• Level 2 food hygiene is required – if not held we will provide training and certification
• Successful applicant must be available to work weekends
WORKING HOURS
• The working days could vary from 3-5 days depending on cover required
• Weekend availability is essential
• Working days hours would be 8am – 3.30 pm
• Working days and hours are negotiable and could be flexed to suit individual circumstances, please ask for more details.
• Rate of pay £12 p/h
